Hepatitis B surface antigen S2 (HBV Surface Antigen-preS2) is the smallest unit of transcriptional activator encoded by the surface gene of hepatitis B virus (HBV). It can be used as an auxiliary diagnostic reagent for hepatitis B virus infection. It exists in more than 1/3 of HBV integration units, and HBV integration units are an important factor in inducing liver cancer (HCC). HBV Surface Antigen-preS2 is also an effective regulator of apoptosis induced by tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL). It is involved in promoting hepatocyte apoptosis induced by TRAIL, thereby increasing the risk of malignant transformation of human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line (HepG2).Alkaline phosphatase (ALPP) is plasma membrane bound glycoprotein involved in energy production. Human ALKP is classified into four tissue specific forms or isozymes, according to the site where it is expressed: placenta, intestine, liver, bone, kidney and germ cell. During pregnancy, serum ALPP levels increase progressively, reaching its highest value in the third trimester, mostly due to addition of placental isoenzyme. This usually results in doubling in the total ALPP level.

MedChemExpress (MCE) recombinant proteins include: cytokines, enzymes, growth factors, hormones, receptors, transcription factors, antibody fragments, etc. They are often essential for supporting cell growth, stimulating cell signaling pathways, triggering or inhibiting cell differentiation; and are useful tools for elucidating protein structure and function, understanding disease onset and progression, and validating pharmaceutical targets. At MedChemExpress (MCE), we strive to provide products with only the highest quality. Protein identity, purity and biological activity are assured by our robust quality control and assurance procedures.
