PAC-1
PAC-1 is a caspase-3 activator. It promotes cleavage of procaspase-3 to produce caspase-3 (EC50 = 0.33 μM). It also converts procaspase-7 to caspase-7 at higher dose (EC50 = 4.5 μM). By induction of caspase-3 and 7, PAC-1 can induce apoptosis in both cancerous cells and non-cancerous cells, but more efficiently for cancerous cells.
