Doxorubicin is an anthracycline antitumor antibiotic that Induces DNA damage by intercalating into DNA and inhibiting topoisomerase II. Doxorubicin binds covalently to DNA and inhbibits reverse transcriptase, RNA polymerase and the catalytic activity of Dnmt1.
